Dec. 29 (Bloomberg) -- General Motors Corp., Ford Motor Co. and DaimlerChrysler AG's Chrysler, after losing money and U.S. market share in 2006, may face more of the same in 2007 as Toyota Motor Corp. chips away at their business.

Debt spending -- through credit cards and auto loans -- more than doubled in 2006 compared to the previous year, reaching some $5.3 billion (4 billion euros) by the end of November, according to a study by the Venezuelan banking research company Softline.
