State offers incentives to pump up use of alternative fuels (Hot Springs Village Voice)
Arkansas roads are increasingly traveled by cars that run on alternative fuels, industry sales figures show. Sales of hybrid electric, ethanol capable E-85 and clean diesel autos grew by 28 percent between 2005 and 2006 to 121,000, according to figures from R.L. Polk and Co. released by the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers.
