Car production in the UK dipped in October, according to the latest SMMT figures. Production fell 7.6 per cent to 124,794 units, down from 135,105 units a year earlier. Year-to-date volumes are now down 2.7 per cent, mainly due to the loss of production at MG Rover the SMMT said.
