    Santa Fe County, and specifically the Edgewood area, is apparently a hot spot for recent cases of bubonic plague. Edgewood animal control officer Vicki Lenderman reported five confirmed cases of the disease found in wildlife and one domestic cat within the town limits.

    A 35-foot wall of water caused by Hurricane Katrina rolled over Waveland, Miss. like a tsunami two weeks ago flattening everything in its path. It tossed parts of houses and cars into trees and whole other neighborhoods.
