A New York investment mogul has launched a bold plan to create the world's largest auto supply company -- and make him one of the most influential figures in the industry. Wilbur L. Ross Jr., a financier famous for taking over companies in distressed industries, turning them around and then selling them, has begun buying stakes in several auto suppliers, he told the Free Press on Thursday.
